We want you to love what you ordered, but if something isn't right, let us know. We'll give you a refund or send you another color, a new size, or an entirely different style.
- Did you order from Gap, Banana Republic, or Old Navy?
You can return or exchange items by mail or at the appropriate brand's store (U.S. locations only) within 45 days of your order date.
- Did you order from Piperlime?
You can return or exchange items by mail only within 30 days of your order date.
- Did you order from Athleta?
You can return or exchange items by mail or an Athleta store at any time.
- There are no returns or exchanges on final sale merchandise, online or in stores.
- Return & exchange process valid for orders from US Territories, and A.P.O. and F.P.O.
Easy Returns and Exchanges
It's easier than you think. Follow these simple steps to return your purchase:
- Detach the top customer portion of the invoice for your records.
- Circle the item(s) that you're returning and note the quantity and reason(s) for return on your invoice.
- Pack your return securely, in the original package if possible, and include your completed invoice.
Complete your return using U.S. Mail - $6.00
To make your return by mail (includes free at-home pickup service and package tracking):
- Print out a pre-paid SmartLabel™.
- Affix your SmartLabel™ to the packaging. Make sure no other tracking labels are shown.
- Drop your package in the U.S. Mail, or schedule a free at-home pickup via USPS when creating your SmartLabel™

When you mail your purchase back to us using the pre-paid UPS shipping label or the pre-paid SmartLabel™, we'll deduct a flat fee of $6.00 from your order refund for return postage. If you ordered from Piperlime or are returning Old Navy Women's Plus merchandise or Banana Republic online-exclusive shoes, you will not be charged for return postage - your return is free. You'll find a return label that came with your package or you can print a new shipping label using one of the links above.

Exchanges by mail
Return your purchase using our easy mail return process (within 45 days of your order date). Order your new merchandise at the same time by calling 1-800-GAPSTYLE. Note: Piperlime merchandise must be returned within 30 days). Order your new merchandise at the same time by calling 1-877-Piperlime. You will not be charged the $6 return postage fee, and your new items will be shipped at no cost to you. We'll bill your credit card for the new merchandise and process your credit for returned merchandise as soon as we receive it.
International Returns
We cannot offer merchandise exchanges on orders shipped internationally. If you need to exchange an item, please return the item and place a new order for your desired product.
International orders must be returned via FiftyOne and must include a Return Merchandise Authorization form. Please contact Gap Inc. Customer Service to receive this form.
Refunds on international orders include duties, taxes and tariffs when sent with the Return Merchandise Authorization form to FiftyOne. Unfortunately, we cannot refund your original domestic and international shipping charges. Returns sent without the Return Merchandise Authorization form may not be accepted. FiftyOne will credit your account upon receipt of the merchandise at the international hub.
We cannot process your return in any store location. We cannot offer free returns on international orders.

Everyday Free Shipping is valid for online purchases of $50 or more in the same domestic order. Eligible customers must select this option in checkout in order to receive free shipping. Offer is good on the order's first "ship-to" address anywhere in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. If you choose another shipping option, additional charges may apply. Not valid on international shipments.
Orders are processed once credit card authorization and verification have been obtained. Domestic orders shipped via FREE Everyday Shipping delivery typically arrive in seven (7) to nine (9) business days (Monday through Friday, not including holidays) for the United States and P.O. boxes in Alaska and Hawaii. Please allow up to fourteen (14) business days for shipments to US Territories, and A.P.O. and F.P.O. addresses.
Strollers and car seats are not available for Everyday Free Shipping to APO/FPO addresses or US Territories.
3-5 Business Day Shipping and Handling
Orders are processed once credit card authorization and verification have been obtained. Domestic orders shipped via standard delivery typically arrive in three (3) to five (5) business days (Monday through Friday, not including holidays) for the United States and P.O. boxes in Alaska and Hawaii. Please allow up to fourteen (14) business days for shipments to US Territories, and A.P.O. and F.P.O. addresses.
Strollers and car seats are not available for standard delivery to APO/FPO addresses or US Territories.
2 Business Day Shipping and Handling
Orders placed with 2-day delivery Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) before 3:00 PM ET / 12:00 PM PT will arrive within 2 business days, pending credit card authorization and verification.
Orders placed with 2-day delivery Monday through Friday after 3:00 PM ET / 12:00 PM PT, or on weekends and holidays, will arrive within 3 business days.
2-day delivery to Rural Routes and remote locations typically arrives within 3 to 4 business days.
2-day delivery is not available for Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, P.O. Boxes, APO or FPO addresses.
Perfumes and colognes may not be available for 2-day delivery.
2-day delivery is not available for strollers and car seats.
1 Business Day Shipping and Handling
Orders placed with 1-day delivery Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) before 3:00 PM ET / 12:00 PM PT will arrive on the next business day, pending credit card authorization and verification.
Orders placed with 1-day delivery Monday through Friday after 3:00 PM ET / 12:00 PM PT, or on weekends and holidays, will arrive within 2 business days.
1-day delivery is not available for Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, P.O. Boxes, APO or FPO addresses, and certain remote locations.

International shipping costs are calculated based on a number of factors, including the number of purchased items, the weight of the items and the destination country postal code. During Checkout, international shipping costs will be calculated and guaranteed by FiftyOne based on the items you are purchasing and your shipping destination.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer free shipping or free returns on international orders.
International customers may ship to multiple addresses by placing a separate order for each shipping address. We cannot ship single international orders to multiple addresses at this time.
Most in-stock items will arrive 11-24 business days after receipt of your order. A shipping timeline specific to your destination can be viewed in Checkout.
